Carisbrook

In the Central Goldfields of Victoria

St. Francis is situated in the heart of the Central Goldfields in the middle of Victoria.

Carisbrook is in a picturesque country town that lays claim to a population of 800. Situated on Deep Creek, home to platypi and an abundance of birdlife, this little town has a licensed general store, butchers, hairdresser, post office, hotel, restaurant, an opportunity shop open three days a week, a roadhouse and two petrol outlets.

Maryborough, home of the famous railway station is 7 kilometres, or seven minutes away, and has all the services of a large regional town including hospital, doctors, dentists, old fashion picture theatre, restaurants, hotels and all the retail therapy you can handle.

Local historic towns such as Talbot, Clunes, Dunolly, Maldon, Castlemaine and Avoca are all 15 to 30 minutes drive away.

Dalesford, Hepburn Springs and Creswick are all within 45 minutes drive from St. Francis and the major regional centres of Bendigo and Ballarat are 50 minutes away.

Please note that this web page is incomplete but I will endeavour to finish it as soon as possible.
